Volunteers - The Backbone of Our Community
The Volunteers at Concord Community Food Services Inc. are long serving, some of whom have been volunteering for the service for over 43 years.
The Volunteers have built the social fabric of our community and many of the Volunteers are associated with other clubs and organisations in the local area. Without our dedicated Volunteers, Concord Community Food Services Inc. would not be able to provide our service to the community.
We have Volunteer meal deliverers and Drivers as well as Volunteer Meal Packers.
Our Board of Management consists entirely of Volunteers who govern Concord Community Food Services Inc. to include a Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Treasurer an Secretary as well as other honorary Board Members.
All of our Volunteers wear an identification badge with Concord-Drummoyne Meals on Wheels logo on it and an endorsed photo of the Volunteer.
Volunteers are invited to information sessions that provide opportunities to upgrade their skills as part of the process of life-long learning. Information sessions are held periodically throughout the year.
All Volunteers are Police Checked and most have Working with Children Clearances.
